Where the Rain.gg referral code field actually is

The referral code field sits on the Rain.gg registration form, usually collapsed behind a “Have a referral code?” link. It is not on a separate promo page, and there is no coupon box at checkout the way there would be on a shop.

This matters more than it sounds. The code is attached to your account at registration and cannot be changed afterwards. Finishing signup with an empty referral field forfeits the 3 free cases permanently.

Step by step

  1. Open the Rain.gg signup form. Steam or email both work; Steam is the usual choice for CS2 players because skins trade directly.
  2. Expand “Have a referral code?” On mobile this can sit below the fold of the form itself — scroll the form, not the page.
  3. Enter your code. We recommend WELC. Codes are not case sensitive, so welc and WELC behave identically.
  4. Complete registration. The 3 free cases appear in your inventory, not your balance.
  5. Deposit if you want the 5%. The bonus is calculated on the deposit and credited with it.

Already signed up?

Open Settings and look for a Referral or Promo section — the same field sometimes appears there for accounts that never had a code applied. If your account already has a referrer attached, nothing will take, and support will not usually swap one referrer for another.

Five reasons a valid code gets rejected

Codes fail far more often because of account state than because the code is dead.

1. A code is already attached. This is the overwhelming majority of cases. One referral code per account, set at registration, permanent.

2. A trailing space. Pasting from a page often grabs a space. It is the single most common reason a genuinely working code appears broken. Retype it if pasting fails.

3. The character is wrong. With RAIN9, RA1N9 uses the numeral one instead of the letter i, and RAIN 9 adds a space. Both fail.

4. It is a second account. Rain.gg links accounts by device and payment method. Multiple accounts from one person breach the terms and risk the balance being removed — this is not a workaround worth trying.

5. The affiliate went inactive. Rare, but real. A code is only live while the account behind it is. This is why a list that has not been re-tested in months is worth very little, whatever date sits at the top of it.

Cases applied but nothing showed up

Check the inventory tab. Free cases are items, not credit, so they never appear as a cash balance. A hard refresh clears a stale view.

If the 5% seems missing from a deposit, look at the transaction record rather than expecting a separate bonus line — it is added to the deposit itself.

What you should expect

Three entry-level cases and 5% on deposits. That is the whole offer, and it is the same through every working code. Anyone promising a knife from the free cases is selling you something.
